Next in the boat club’s tour of the country: 188th Durham Regatta
We had another sunny, successful weekend of racing.
The club won its first pots since the return to racing with 3 crews coming home as winners! Well done to the SPM 4+ (Beg/Int O4+), SPM 8+ w. 2 START boys (Non Champ O8+) and Inters 4+ w. 2 SPW subs (Non Champ B W4+).
A massive thank you to all our subs this weekend! Without you many crews would not have been able to race!
It is safe to say that as a club we had a very eventful weekend, both W Int 1x singles capsized, reportedly the river was actually quite refreshing and much more pleasant than the canal. Also the Beginner Men managed to snap a sweep blade, a feat which I hear is actually quite difficult, well done Bayo Salami (and big thank you for such a great pictures)
Lots was learnt by everyone and our performance crews will take these lessons to BUCS in just under 2 weeks time!
Again, a MASSIVE thank you to Cross Keys Garage in Morley who provided us with the superb Isuzu D-Max truck to tow our very full trailer, helping to facilitate our weekend of racing.
