Following support from the Leeds Sport Fund to reduce the cost of sport at the University we have been able to reduce our memberships by over 25% and will also be reducing day to day costs to students.
Land training members – £40
Land members benefit from being part of our socials and our group fitness sessions such as the circuits held every Monday and Thursday evening through term time, or by developing your rowing machine fitness.
Coxing membership – £35
Our most appreciated members of the club, get all the benefits of land training members but also join and lead our crews on the water. Taking charge in 4s and 8s and competing at all levels we are always on the lookout for new coxes, typically looking for small loud people but encourage anyone to give it a go.
Novice – £65
Novice members are people who are brand new to the sport, they will be taught how to row correctly on and off the water, able to attend 2 circuit sessions a week and be taught to row in fours and eights and have the opportunity to go to races throughout the year.
Novice Performance – £80
Novice members will get the opportunity to upgrade to novice performance through invitation only. Following a period within the club there will be a trial to identify rowers which shows that with the right commitment could aspire to a higher level of performance. Performance rowers must be willing to commit more time and effort to training but will be rewarded through learning to row faster, access to strength and conditioning support and attending higher levels of competition
Senior Intermediate – £65
This category are for rowers with at least 1 years experience who are unable to commit to the same workload and performance required in the performance group. Within this group you still get regular water, circuit and ergo sessions and able to enter into a variety races if you wish.
Senior Performance – £80
Rowers in this category must have at least one years experience and demonstrate a certain level of dedication and performance. You will be supported through our strength and conditioning programme and will be representing the club at the premier events within our sport. Typically the minimum commitment is to 2 ergs, 5 water sessions, 3 conditioning sessions.
